Where Jerry Stands
After speaking with our constituents of Ward 8, both residents and businesses, I have compiled a list of issues that I plan to CHANGE if elected as your representative!
Traffic and Infrastructure
Improving traffic conditions and addressing pothole issues to ensure safer and more efficient roadways for all residents.
Parks and Recreation
Committing to the development of more parks and recreational facilities, as Clarksville’s median population age is 29-35 with small children.
Community Engagement and Empowerment
I am passionate about fostering vibrant and inclusive communities where residents feel heard, valued, and empowered. I firmly believe that community engagement and empowerment are essential for creating positive change and building a city that reflects the aspirations and needs of its diverse population. I am committed to championing initiatives that encourage active participation, collaboration, and decision-making at the grassroots level. By fostering community engagement and empowerment, we can create stronger neighborhoods, and shape a prosperous future together.
First Responder Salaries
Examining and addressing disparities in the salaries of first responders (police, fire, ambulance). Notably, the city of Murfreesboro, with 10,000 fewer residents than Clarksville, pays its entry-level firefighters $7,000 more and has three more fire stations.
