My name is Jerry Haywood and I was born here in Clarksville as a military dependent. After spending many years moving across the United States with my family, I graduated from Fort Campbell High School in 2013. I then attended Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, before enlisting in the United States Army as a Combat Medic. While in the Army, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Sports and Health Science from American Military University and earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration. Currently I am working towards my Doctorate in Public Administration.

As a proud veteran and dedicated advocate for positive change in our community I am thrilled to announce my candidacy for Ward 8 City Council. With my background in service to our country and a deep passion for public service, I am committed to bringing effective leadership and a fresh perspective to address the needs of our Ward 8 and the City of Clarksville.

Serving for YOU!

Having served in the military, I understand the importance of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. These qualities have shaped my approach to problem-solving and my commitment to making a difference. As your City Council candidate, I aim to use my experience and skills to improve the lives of our residents, particularly focusing on issues such as affordable housing, community development, and access to essential services.

Local, local, local. CLARKSVILLE.

I firmly believe in open and transparent governance, where the voices of our residents are heard and respected. I am dedicated to fostering strong community engagement and working collaboratively with local organizations, businesses, and residents to develop inclusive policies that promote growth, equality, and opportunity.

Home and Family

As we move forward, I am eager to listen to your concerns, ideas, and aspirations. Together, we can build a vibrant and thriving Ward 8 that we are all proud to call home. I humbly ask for your support and trust as we embark on this journey to create a better future for our community.
